"Union electronic catalog" - software of the first national format created in our country, is the creation of electronic catalogs, their unification and the prevention of duplication of bibliographic records and, in turn, the achievement of a rational distribution of labor force. Union electronic catalog combines electronic catalogs from various information and library institutions and allows you to search for information in different electronic catalogs at the same time.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 23, 2011 "On measures for further qualitative development of information library and information resource services based on information and communication technologies for 2011-2015" No. DP-1487 in order to create and form a Union electronic catalog for the Republic in 2013 in cooperation with the Republican center of union electronic catalog and The programmers center "BEPRO" have developed a system of Union electronic catalog (UEC). Since September 2014, the UEC system has been connected to the Internet and started working in cooperation with information and library institutions.
