The Republican Center of the Union Electronic Catalogue was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan №1487 dated February 23, 2011 "On measures for further qualitative development of information and library and information resource services based on information and communication technologies for 2011-2015". the RCUEC operates and operates on the basis of the National library of Uzbekistan in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and this Charter.

According to the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the activities of libraries and information on the basis of the Charter of the National electronic union catalog, members of the SEC can become centers of information libraries and information resource centers of the Republic .

About the project

In pursuance of the President from 23.02.2011, N PP-1487, in the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi established a national center electronic union catalog. In subordinate Uzbek agency of communication and information structures, information and library centers in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent established sectors of the electronic union catalog numbering 2 units in each within the budget allocations for their content.

Rules for UEC participants:1. According to the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the activities of information and library at the base of the Charter of the state Union electronic catalog, members of UEC can become centers of information libraries and information-resource centers of the Republic;2.
